  • 9 to 12 Months of Age
    • Repeats simple words and sounds you make
    • Correctly uses “mama” and “dada”
    • Responds to singing or music
    • Points to favorite toys and objects when asked
  • By 24 Months of Age
    • Has a word for almost everything
    • Uses 2-3 word sentences
  • By 36 Months of Age
    • Strangers are able to understand much of what the child says
    • Uses verbs ending in “ing” such as walking or talking
